Full Description
The Spitfire Mk IX was developed because of an urgent need to respond to the appearance of the Focke-Wulf FW-190A. Significantly better than the Mk V, it had a top speed of 409 mph at 28,000 feet, its service ceiling rose to 43,000 feet, and tests proved that it matched the FW-190’s performance. It was so successful that it was ordered into full production and over 7000 were built. Each CD features a multi selection of high-quality close-up detailed photographs to help you with your latest building project.
