Designed by Ray Malmström, the original Skygipsy was presented in the ‘Eagle Book of Model Aircraft’ published in 1959. It was powered by a single .75 cc diesel.
At 42¾" (1086 mm) wingspan, the modernised R/C Skygipsy Twin by Christian Moes is somewhat larger than the original and uses two 40-60 W electric motors mounted on the wing. With either a 850 mAh/3S pack (with camera) or 1300 mAh/3S pack (without camera) extended flight times are guaranteed
