Pipedream

Designed by Mike White, Pipedream is a 1320mm span, tail-less electric powered flying wing with a RG15 section for 3 or 4 functions using four 18g digital metal-gear servos (2.5kg torque), and constructed in all wood using traditional building techniques from the 2 well-drawn CAD plan sheets (Optional foam wings are also shown on plan.). Model weighs 12 lb.10 oz. with a wing loading of 13 oz./sq. ft. and is powered by a 3536/8 1000Kv brushless outrunner with a 40+ Amp ESC, turning a 10” x 6” folding prop using a 3s 2200-3000mAh LiPo to power it.
A laser cut wood pack of intricate shaped parts is available from Traplet. Model flies extremely fast (or slow) and is aerobatic too, and therefore definitely not for a novice pilot!
