DH98 Mosquito FB.VI (71")
Perhaps the very first successful multi-role aircraft, the Mosquito, or ‘Mossie’ to its crews, served as a low-to-medium altitude daytime tactical bomber, high-altitude night bomber, pathfinder, day or night fighter, fighter-bomber, intruder, maritime strike aircraft, and fast photo-reconnaissance aircraft. It’s performance was so good that Luftwaffe pilots were said to be awarded two kills for each one that was shot down. Nevertheless, Mosquito crews had a much better chance of returning safely from missions over occupied Europe than those of other aircraft during the war.
This superb model is built from well-detailed plan sheets into an all wood constructed 71”, 1:9.15 scale replica of the iconic ‘Mossie’. The model features retracting undercarriage, working flaps and a bomb release. Not suitable for beginners.
