Full Description
Designated CW-24B by the Curtis-Wright company, and XP-55 ‘Ascender’ for military purposes, this unusual canard prototype with a rear-mounted pusher engine was the first Curtiss fighter to have tri-undercarriage. Laddie Mikulasko has rescaled it to 71" (almost 1:7 scale) on the two precision drawn large CAD plans. Construction is all wood and uses 4-function R/C, and an AXI 4120/18 brushless outrunner with a 6S 5000 LiPo for power. At just under 7 lb weight this model is a real eye-catcher.
