The York was a machine developed
from the lancaster bomber, effectively
a Lanc with a different fuselage, to form
a stop-gap airliner at the end of WW2
for both service and civilian use. Its
finest hour was undoubtedly the Berlin
Airlift but it played a major role in the
earl y years of B,O.A.C, Scale 1/48
