Early in 1942 the Americans decided to prod uce a
Light Tank that could be dropped from aircraft to
back up airborne divisions. However, aircraft
available at th at time were not sufficiently
suitable to carry tanks such as these. Very few
' Locusts' saw action during the War. Large
